The resulting coin contains 1/10 oz of pure gold plus small amounts of copper and silver.  This alloy creates harder coins that resist scratching, and would be capable of withstanding the rigors of circulation should the need arise.  The resulting coin weighs slightly more than a tenth-ounce due to the fact that the other metals are "added" to the 1/10 oz of fine gold. It is authorized by the United States Congress and is backed by the United States Mint for weight and content.

Gold Eagle Coins will be of Uncirculated Quality unless otherwise stated in the product description.  Coin dates will vary according to our inventory levels.  This specific product is a random year, and will have either the 'Nesting Family of Eagles' (1986-early 2021) or the 'Bald Eagle Head in profile' (mid 2021 - Current) design on the reverse of the coin.  The shared obverse design is of Lady Liberty with Flowing Hair.
